Yep, cold and flu season has commenced, so it’s extra important now to care for ourselves with the best food possible and lots of medicinal ingredients eaten on a daily basis. Marquis Matson of Real Raw Kitchen has you covered here with this deliciously creamy and coconutty Healing Turmeric Smoothie FULL of anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and immune boosting compounds. - 1 can coconut milk (I used light coconut milk.) (RFR tip: Use
- homemade coconut milk if you desire a truly raw version)
- 3-4 frozen bananas
- 2 t turmeric powder
- 1 t ginger root powder
- 1 t ginseng powder
- 1/2 t vanilla
1. Combine everything in a high speed blender and blender until smooth.
Dust with more turmeric.
