Beets are great – and they really are one of my favorite foods. Their color, their taste, their everything. I heart them in a big way. Unfortunately though, not everyone feels the same way I do. Because of this, I figured smoothies would be the best way to
mask enhance the flavor of raw beets.
- 1 large beet (or a few small)
- 2 oranges (peeled)
- 1 lime (peeled)
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1 scoop of vanilla or plain protein powder (rice or pea) – optional.
- sweetener of choice
- 1 cup of water (only if needed to move everything in blender)
- In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.
