My name is Ulyana Michailov and I am a naturopath and acupuncturist with a clinic based in South Australia. This blog is a unique blend of my passion for NATURAL botanical health; my endeavours in the kitchen, the plant kingdom and all things creative and fun. Think food, art, spirituality, travel, health and a little bit of MAGIC.
“Forest Faery” is all about connecting nature and humanity. My favourite past time is reflecting on nature, whether that be pottering about a herb garden or adventuring through a forest. My interests are in deep ecology, nature writing, photography and environmental protection and awareness. Even though I love the outdoors, I am also a very homely person and enjoy getting creative in the kitchen. Areas I cover are raw food cuisine, baking, preserving, fermenting and pickling as well as concocting natural beauty recipes, herbal salves and ‘Magical Botanical’ herbal tea remedies.
Each recipe is designed to taste heavenly but drawn from ingredients which can only be made by the EARTH. The plant kingdom amazes me with its rainbow brilliance, pigments that promise antioxidants and radiant health. These recipes can only add to your health, wellbeing and beauty, never take away. (Don’t be cynical!) I draw knowledge from naturopathy and combine it with my talent to make delicious food that’s appealing to the eye. The finishing touch is the sprinkling of my words.
