A milkshake for breakfast? No, this is not a fantasy leftover from childhood – milkshakes really can be part of a healthy breakfast, at least when recipes like this exist. Creamy, rich, and ultra chocolatey, just like a milkshake should be. This recipe also makes a great late night treat when an unexpected sweet tooth attack strikes. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- a pinch of turmeric
- a pinch of black pepper
- 50 ml / 0.2 cups oats
- 300 ml / 1.25 cups water
- 3 bananas, sliced and frozen for at least 6 hours
- cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the oats in a blender or food processor until the consistency of flour.
- Add the cacao, spices, and a little bit of the water and blend until completely smooth. add the rest of the water and blend again.
- Add the banana slices, break apart if they have formed larger chunks. mix and serve with a dash of cinnamon.
