A milkshake for breakfast? No, this is not a fantasy leftover from childhood – milkshakes really can be part of a healthy breakfast, at least when recipes like this exist. Creamy, rich, and ultra chocolatey, just like a milkshake should be. This recipe also makes a great late night treat when an unexpected sweet tooth attack strikes. Enjoy!

  • a pinch of turmeric
  • a pinch of black pepper
  • 50 ml / 0.2 cups oats
  • 300 ml / 1.25 cups water
  • 3 bananas, sliced and frozen for at least 6 hours
  • cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the oats in a blender or food processor until the consistency of flour.
  2. Add the cacao, spices, and a little bit of the water and blend until completely smooth. add the rest of the water and blend again.
  3. Add the banana slices, break apart if they have formed larger chunks. mix and serve with a dash of cinnamon.
