Give it a try in this delicious green smoothie recipe which balances the nutty, malty flavor of maca root with creamy banana and almond milk, sweet blueberries, spicy cinnamon, and a hidden dose of spinach (you won’t even taste it – promise!).
- 1 whole banana, frozen
- .25 cups blueberries, frozen
- 1 cup spinach, fresh raw
- 1 cup raw almond milk, unsweetened
- .25 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 heaping tablespoon maca powder
- Place all of the ingredients in a high speed blender. I use a VitaMix because it is so thorough at blending, but any blender will do. Blend for about 45 seconds, or until desired consistency is reached. Pour the smoothie into your favorite glass.
