Cheesy Kale Chips are great, but these are even better! The onion, brings a whole different awesome taste in your mouth that you won’t be able to get enough of. Why not even try adding your favorite spice, who knows- it might be amazing!

1.5c soaked raw cashews

2-3 heads kale, curly or flat

1 small red or white onion or 3/4 large, chopped

1 heaping TBLS white miso

1.5 Tbls nutritional yeast

small pinch spicy red peppers

2 pinches sea salt

Wash and tear kale into small pieces.

In a vitamix add all of the ingredients, minus the kale. Blend on high until VERY smooth, no chunks.

Massage {I really dislike this word} it into the kale pieces.

Dehydrate at about 110 degrees for 5-6 hours, or until crunchy.

You'll probably have some extra sauce. It makes a great dressing for any dark green salad.

I was a professional baker at the age of 16 at a popular pastry shop near my house. By age 24, a few years after graduated from UCLA, I started a health food company, Kookie Karma, in Santa Monica, CA. Now 31, living in San Diego, I'm a proud mom with two little boys of my own: Pierce and Roman - just 12 months apart! What started as a "baby blog"" for those curious friends and family has transformed into this PUREmamas informational site overnight. I now share fun healthy food, pregnancy and everyday life ideas with new moms, pregnant women and modern conscious parents alike! This is not a raw vegan site; I am not a baby expert or health professional; but I do show parents/adults how to incorporate raw and superfood principles into their everyday routines and diets. Whether your an athlete, a new mom, are sick, overweight, tired, or just needing a motivational kick-in-the-butt, that's what this blog is here for. Now, before you get off your bottom to clean out the cupboards and start fresh, sit down for a bit longer and give this blog a good read. You will find everything from pantry basics to smoothies to everyday recipes and supplement must-haves. While you're at it, revamp your home, too. I have collected some savvy ideas to get your house looking as GREAT as your new wholesome self! Enjoy. Feel free to post on our discussion boards any thoughts and ideas and, of course, questions. If Juli doesn't have the answer, or you don't like her answer, she will reach out to her network of hip, smart and healthy pregnant friends and parents (or ever her midwife.)
