Activated Charcoal Lemonade Smoothie

Activated charcoal is another superfood that has been touted as a miracle, but underneath all the detox hype, is actually a very helpful remedy for bloating and constipation. Via a process called adsorption, activated charcoal binds certain toxins within itself, helping them exit the body when it does. Ginger is a more familiar superfood that acts as a fantastic anti-inflammatory, and kale is one of the most nutrient-dense leafy greens you can eat.   • 1 lemon - peeled
  • ½ inch ginger - peeled

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ice
