Didn’t stumble across any 4 leaf clovers yesterday for St. Paddy’s Day? No worries, you’ll feel even luckier after drinking this protein-rich, superfood smoothie. That gorgeous green hue comes from spirulina, a complete protein containing all the essential amino acids. It’s rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), and also provides alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). As for that spoonful of bee pollen, it has antibiotic properties that can help protect the body from contracting viruses.

Ingredients

  • ½ – 1 cup frozen bananas
  • 1 – 1½ cup frozen pineapple
  • 2 cups almond milk*
  • 1 tablespoon bee pollen
  • 1-3 teaspoons spirulina
  • 5 – 10 drops vanilla stevia

Instructions

1) Blend until smooth.

2) Garnish with shredded coconut and goji berries. Enjoy!

Notes

*Sometimes I shake things up and cut the almond milk with coconut water for an electrolyte boost.
