This healthy salted caramel tart uses clean ingredients that can be easily sourced and are relatively affordable. Make it for your next celebration to impress your guests!
Ingredients
Base
- 2 C raw almonds
- 1 C shredded coconut
- 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
Salted Caramel Layer
- 1 C shredded coconut
- 1/4 C hulled organic tahini
- 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 3 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1 tsp himalayan salt
Clean Chocolate Topping
- 2 Tbsp rice malt syrup (or liquid sweetener of choice)
- 3 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1 Tbsp cacao powder
- shredded coconut for topping
Instructions
- Blend together the base ingredients until it reaches your desired consistency. I left mine a little chunky. Add some coconut milk if you need to. Pour into a small/medium sized pan of choice. Freeze.
- Process caramel layer ingredients until very smooth. Pour over base and freeze until topping is ready.
- Mix together clean chocolate ingredients in a bowl until mixture is smooth and consistent.
- Pour over salted caramel layer, sprinkle with shredded coconut, and refrigerate until firm.
