Double Chocolate Cherry Bars

Do you find yourself getting a little giddy every time cherry season rolls around? You’re not the only one! Nothing beats biting into a perfectly ripe, sweet, and juicy cherry….well, except for combining the euphoric experience with some chocolate. Enjoy these Double Chocolate Cherry Bars by Iselin Stoylen of Vegetarian Taste – a recipe that truly does these delicious seasonal fruits justice.

Ingredients

Brownie:

  • 3 cups/ 6dl almonds
  • 20 dates (pitted)
  • 3 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 3 tbsp raw agave
  • 1 tsp raw vanilla
  • a pinch of salt

Glacing:

Instructions

To make the brownie

1. simply mix together all ingredients in a food processor.

2. Spread the batter out in a lined tin and place in the freezer for 30minutes.

3. Now you can tip the brownie over at a dehydrator tray. Dehydrate the brownie for 3-5 hours.

To make the glazing

1. blend together all the ingredients in a blender. If you don’t have a blender you can use the food processor.

2. Glaze the brownies and then let them sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

3. Add some cherries on top and sprinkle with a little cacao butter before serving.
