If the idea of eating healthy conjures up in your mind images of boring meals and an absolute absence of sweet treats, you definitely need recipes like this in your life. You can still indulge in absolutely decadent treats, the key lies in paying closer attention to ingredients. This Coco Vanilla Shake contains the simplest line up of ingredients – bananas, coconut milk, maple syrup, coconut oil, cacao, and vanilla – yet the result is truly dreamy, and will most definitely crush any random milkshake cravings that might sneak up on you. Enjoy!

Ingredients

Shake
  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 can full fat coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
Chocolate sauce
  • 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 3 tablespoons full fat coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  1. To make the shake: blend all ingredients together until smooth, creamy and DELICIOUS. If it’s too thin, add more banana; if it’s too thick, add more coconut milk.
  2. To make the sauce: whisk together the ingredients until you have chocolate. If it’s too thick, add more coconut milk or maple syrup; if it’s too thin, add more coconut oil.
  3. Assembly: scoop the shake into glasses along with drizzles of the chocolate sauce, until your glasses are full. Decorate with sliced banana and cacao nibs if you like. ENJOY!
