This smoothie bowl was inspired by the robust flavors of fresh chocolate mint. Peppermint is wonderful for digestion and any conditions related to stomach health. It’s also great for good breath. Peppermint is very calming and stress-relieving, and helps relieve headaches, and alleviates muscle pain. This smoothie bowl is packed with nutrient-rich goodness to help inspire some serious pep in your step. Plus it tastes good enough to be dessert.

  • 100g frozen acai (make sure it has no preservatives; try this one)
  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 5 Medjool dates
  • 1/2 cup water, or pure coconut water
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate mint (leaves only), or to taste*
  • 1 tablespoon raw carob powder
  • Pinch of vanilla powder, or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  1. Blend everything in a high speed blender, and top with:

Variation 1: hemp seeds, cacao nibs, and freeze-dries strawberries Variation 2: goji berries and freeze-dried raspberries *If you don’t have chocolate mint, you can use a drop of pure peppermint extract instead
