Almond and Rose Water Face Mask

Just made a batch of Ulyana’s fresh almond milk and are unsure what to do with the leftover pulp? Shes got the answer for you with this lovely almond and rosewater facial mask that will help soothe and hydrate dry or dehydrated skin. Raw honey acts as a mild anti-bacterial as well as water binding humectant, while rose acts to calm inflammation. The almond pulp helps gently soften and exfoliate away any dead skin cells. Leave on for 10-15 minutes until slightly dry, re-moisten and use as a gentle scrub before rinsing away with slightly warm water. Your food is organic, and your skin care should be as well!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almond pulp (you can soak almonds overnight a blitz in the food processor)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rose-water
  • a few red rose petals (optional)

Instruction

1) In a mini blender process all the ingredients until combined. You can just mix it all by hand but the blender turns it into a nice paste. This recipe will keep for up to 4- 5 days in an air tight container. The honey also acts as a preservative.
